What is eKonsey and how does it work?

eKonsey is a digital medical board platform that brings together specialist doctors from various disciplines for complex health conditions. You upload your health data and reports to the system; the expert board then reviews your file and provides you with a comprehensive medical opinion.

In which situations should I apply to eKonsey?

It is ideal for diseases that have been diagnosed but have complex treatment processes, when seeking a "second opinion" before surgical intervention, or for conditions that require simultaneous evaluation by multiple branches (e.g., Oncology, Radiology, and Surgery).

How do I register to submit an application on eKonsey?

Click the Register button located in the top right corner and enter the required information. Use your own email address; once you have set your password and completed your registration, you can log in to the system.

How long does the application process take?

Once your file is fully uploaded to the system, the relevant board of experts convenes to review your case. Your written report is typically ready, or your live consultation is organized, within 7 business days.

Can I have a live consultation with the Medical Board?

Yes. Depending on the service model you select, you can conduct an interactive online consultation with the board reviewing your file and direct your questions to the experts personally.

Is eKonsey an emergency service?

No. eKonsey is a planned consultation and second opinion platform. In cases requiring emergency medical intervention, please contact your nearest healthcare institution immediately.

Is my personal health data secure?

Yes. All your data is stored on high-security servers in accordance with international medical privacy standards (compliant with KVKK and GDPR). Only the doctors assigned to evaluate your case have access to your files.

Can I apply to eKonsey on behalf of someone else?

Yes. You may apply to eKonsey for yourself as well as for a first-degree relative who is unable to submit their own application. In this case, you must upload a consent form signed by your relative in blue ink to our system. Additionally, for patients under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian may submit the application.

How do I find the condition I want to consult about?

You can browse the medical specialties (e.g., Urology, Neurology, General Surgery, etc.) and the list of conditions on the "Conditions" page.

How will I provide the medical information regarding my condition?

Once you log in to the eKonsey system and select the relevant medical department, your application screen will open automatically. This section contains specific medical questions designed to help us analyze your condition as accurately as possible. Please review and answer the questions carefully. If you do not have the specific finding or symptom mentioned, you may proceed by selecting the "none" or "other" option.

How do I upload my existing tests and reports related to my condition?

At the end of the application form, where general information about your condition is entered and questions are answered, please check the relevant boxes corresponding to the headings of the medical tests you have, and then click the "Next" button at the bottom of the page.

On the following file upload page, you will see the tests you selected. By clicking the "Choose File" button, you can easily upload the test reports you wish to submit from your computer or mobile phone to the system.

The files you upload must be in one of the following formats: jpg, gif, png, zip, txt, xls, doc, pdf, jpeg, or docx. Other file structures cannot be uploaded.

If you are applying from a mobile phone, you can upload by selecting files saved on your phone or by taking a screenshot of your reports.

If you wish to update your selections, you can return to the previous page using the "Back" button; once the upload is complete, you can start the process by clicking the "Send" button.

How can I confirm my health reports were uploaded successfully?

All the files you have uploaded will appear at the top of the page. Once the upload process is complete, a confirmation message will be sent to your email address, notifying you that your reports have been successfully uploaded and your application is delivered to the relevant specialist doctors.

I did not receive a confirmation message that my tests were successfully uploaded and delivered to the relevant specialist doctors. What should I do?

Check the "Tests" tab located on the menu on the left. Your uploaded files should be listed there. If your files do not appear in the list, please ensure that the reports you are trying to upload are in the correct format (PDF, JPEG, PNG, etc.).

How can I contact eKonsey representatives?

In "Messages" tab on the left menu of your panel, you can view and reply to all messages sent to you by your eKonsey specialist doctors or the system coordinators. If you experience any issues with the messaging system, you can report the problem to info@ekonsey.com or to 08503991150. Our support team will provide assistance as soon as possible.

What should I do if the doctors on the board request additional tests?

Following the initial evaluation, the board of medical experts may determine that additional tests are necessary. In this case, a system coordinator will contact you to provide details about the requested tests and instructions on how to proceed. If you are not contacted within 24 hours of the evaluation, please inform us via info@ekonsey.com or reach out to our support line at 0 850 399 1150. Our team will provide assistance as soon as possible.

When should I make the payment for eKonsey?

Upon completing your application to eKonsey, a board of specialist doctors from relevant disciplines is formed to evaluate your case. Following the initial assessment, you will be notified of the number of doctors on your board. At this stage, you will be asked to select one of the available consultancy models and proceed with the required payment.

How do I make the payment for eKonsey?

Once your medical board has been formed and you have selected one of the consultancy models, you can securely complete your payment via the "Make a Payment" tab located on the left menu of your panel.

How do I join the online eKonsey meeting?

If you choose the "Online eKonsey Meeting" service, all details regarding the interactive online session will be sent to you via e-mail and sms once your payment is completed. At the scheduled date and time, you can join the video conference with the specialist physicians in your council by clicking the "Join Council" button on your panel and granting the necessary camera and microphone permissions.
