Nazlı Merey is a clinical psychologist and lecturer with experience in private clinic, hospital, and university mental health services. She has worked in adult psychotherapy, psycho-oncology, chronic pain management, crisis intervention, and university counseling. Her training is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); she also has experience in psychoeducation, healthcare-staff training, and mental health program development.Since April 2023 she has provided individual psychotherapy for adult clients in a private clinic in Istanbul. From 2023 to 2025 she taught Health Psychology and Program Development at MEF University's Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling. At Koç University Hospital Oncology Department (2019–2022) she offered individual psychotherapy and psychosocial support to oncology patients and caregivers, including palliative and end-of-life psychological support and crisis intervention, and trained oncology and hospital staff in psycho-oncology, psychological resilience, and anxiety disorders.She served as a clinical psychologist in the Department of Surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (2016–2017), and previously worked at Koç University Counseling and Disability Services, Yeniden Health and Education Association, and Istanbul Bilgi University Counseling Center. She earned a BA in Psychology from New York University (2007), an MS in Clinical Psychology from Istanbul Bilgi University (2012), and an MS in Health Administration from Johns Hopkins University (2016).
