Prof. Dr. Mert Akbaş, FIPP, is a professor specializing in anesthesiology and pain management. He served as a faculty member at Akdeniz University School of Medicine for many years and held positions on the Executive Board of the World Institute of Pain (WIP), including Chair of Board of Sections and Honorary Secretary. His areas of clinical expertise include decompressive neuroplasty, neuromodulation, radiofrequency thermocoagulation, and CT-guided percutaneous cordotomy for cancer pain.
