Assoc. Prof., MD, FEBOT Ozan Ali Erdal

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ozan Ali Erdal was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1982. He graduated from the English Medicine Program of Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty in 2007 with the highest distinction (Summa Cum Laude, 2nd in his class), and completed his residency in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the same faculty between 2008 and 2013. He passed the Turkish Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (TOTEK) exams in 2012 and 2013, and the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EBOT) exams in 2014 and 2015, earning the FEBOT title.

He pursued a fellowship in orthopaedics at LVR-Klinik für Orthopädie Viersen, Germany, and a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedics at Ortopediatri Istanbul (2015-2016). In October 2022 he was awarded the Associate Professor title in Orthopaedics and Traumatology. Since March 2023 he has been running his own Dr. Ozan Ali Erdal Clinic for Pediatric Orthopedics in Istanbul, and currently serves as Consultant Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon at Lokman Hekim Istanbul Hospital (since 2025) and HG Hospital in Kahramanmaraş (since 2025). He is a Visiting Lecturer in Anatomy at Medipol University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department (since 2025).

His previous appointments include Acıbadem Taksim Hospital (2017-2022), Emsey Hospital (2018-2024), Merkez Prime Hospital in Kocaeli (2020-2025), Haliç University (2018-2024), and Inebolu Community Hospital (2013-2015). He has visited The Paley Institute in Miami, FL and The Paley European Institute in Warsaw as a scrubbed observer in congenital deficiencies and limb reconstruction. His clinical interests include cerebral palsy, developmental dysplasia of the hip, osteogenesis imperfecta, limb length discrepancy and deformity correction, pediatric foot and ankle problems, and telescopic intramedullary nailing. He is a member of the Turkish Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (TOTBID), the Turkish Medical Association (TTB), and the European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (EPOS).
